poori or puri recipe is perfect to serve chatpate chole, paneer or aloo ki
sabzi. It is a very popular breakfast or
lunch dish in india and is a one meal dish.

Ingredients
·
All
purpose flour (maida) – 1 cup
·
Wheat
flour (atta) – 1 cup
·
Salt
to taste
·
Carom
seed (ajwain) – 1 tsp
·
Ghee
– 1 tbsp
·
Water – Required to knead
·
Oil
to deep fry
Method for preparing puri
1. First of all, take a mixing bowl or
tray and add whole wheat flour, refined flour, carom seeds, salt and ghee. Mix
well and rub the flour within your palm.
2. Once everything combined well then
flours should be clamped in your palm. Take a fistful of the mixture and close
tightly. The mixture should be able to hold the shape.
3. Now start adding water 1 tbsp (as
required) for make soft dough. Keep aside for 15 mins.
4. Now knead the dough again and make
small balls of the dough.
5. Take each ball and dip it in little
oil and roti them out into small circles of about 4-5 inches in diameter.
6. Heat enough oil in a pan to deep fry
puri.
7. Put in a puri and immediately
start poring hot oil over the top of it with a spatula and
you will see that it will swell up like a puffs, flip it carefully. Fry other
side as well until golden and crisp.
8. Remove the puri to a colander.fry the
next puri the same way.
