                            Bhindi do pyaza sabzi

Bhindi do pyaza a simple and easy ladyfingers (bhindi/okra) stir-fry,dry curry recipe. Onion and curd, perked up  with the aromatic flavor of cumin seeds and nigella seeds along with ginger and green chillies make mouth-watering semi dry subzi. you can enjoy with rotis or parathas.

Ingredients

  • Ladyfinger (bhindi)-250 gram
  • Oil- 1 tblsp
  • Cumin seeds(jeera)- 1 tsp
  • Nigella seeds(kalonji)- ½ tsp
  • Onion- 2 medium size sliced
  • Turmeric powde(haldi powder)- ½ tsp
  • Ginger paste(adrak paste)- ½ tsp
  • Green chili- 1 tsp chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • curd-  ½ cup

Method

  1. Firstly wash theladyfinger ( bhindi) in running  water. Then wipe them completely dry, now chop the ladyfingers as shown in the picture below.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan or kadhai, add the cumin seeds and nigella seeds and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.

  3. When the seeds crackle, add the onion and sauté on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes.

  4. Add the turmeric powder and ginger paste, chopped green chili and  mix 1 tbsp water mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.

  5. Add the ladyfingers and salt, mix well and cook medium flame close with lid when ladyfinger till they become a tender.



  6. Now add the curd, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 or 2 minutes or till curds dry out.  


                 
  7. Serve to make bhindi do pyaza with rotis or parathas.
